How I Make Money

Interested in learning how Knowledge Eager makes money?

Then you've come to the right place!

Affiliate Links

Affiliate links are one of the two ways I earn money with Knowledge Eager.

Here's how it works:

  • I find and review a product that can be bought online.
  • If this product has an affiliate program I apply to become an affiliate for that retailer.
  • After being accepted into the affiliate program, I include a special link to the product I reviewed. When you use my link to purchase the product, I receive a small commission, typically ranging from 1-8% for physical products and a slightly higher percentage for online products. When you use my links to purchase the product, you pay the standard price or even receive a small discount most of the time.
It's important to note that I have no incentive to recommend inferior products. In fact, it's quite the opposite. If a reader returns a product because of my bad recommendation, I won't earn any affiliate commission. In the long run, a high rate of refunds may even cause me to lose my partner status with the retailer.

It's worth noting that I don't only use affiliate links when recommending a product. Sometimes, I link to products that I explicitly label as not worth it.

If a reader still chooses to buy a product that I explicitly label as not worth it, I still earn a commission that supports Knowledge Eager. However, it's worth noting that I rarely earn a commission from products that I don't recommend.

Display Ads

In addition to earning money through affiliate links, I also generate revenue by utilizing display ads.

I understand that display ads can be annoying for users.

Although I would prefer to disable all display ads on Knowledge Eager, they are currently necessary to support the site and fund the creation of new content.

Typically, I disable ads on articles that contain affiliate links. However, I have many articles that don't contain any affiliate links and therefore don't generate any income for me. Those articles usually have ads displayed on them.
