JBL makes some of the best earbuds on the market. With a universal user interface, its range of wireless earbuds is easy to pair with any device.

This guide will show how to successfully pair JBL earbuds with your Android device, iPhone, laptop, MacBook, and television.

Here’s How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds:

First, turn on Bluetooth on both the JBL earbuds and the device you wish to pair them with. The earbuds should show up in the list of selectable options on your phone or laptop. To start pairing, simply tap on the JBL earbuds and give it a few seconds to complete the process.

If successful, the message “Connected” will appear on your screen. The light on your JBL earbuds will also turn on.

The earbuds should be stored in the Bluetooth options of your device once you have completed the process.

If it is your first time using your JBL earbuds, make sure to charge them completely before pairing them with any device.

How To Put Your JBL Earbuds In Pairing Mode:

You should turn on your JBL earbuds to activate the Bluetooth pairing mode. Usually, this will be indicated by a blinking blue light on your accessory.

To troubleshoot, you should hold down the Bluetooth button on the right earbud for five seconds until it shuts off. When you turn it back on, your earbuds should be in pairing mode.

Some JBL earbuds do not have a Bluetooth button, but they should have a center button located in the middle of the volume control. Hold this to begin pairing.

How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds With Android Devices:

You should start the pairing process by removing one of the JBL earbuds from the case. Then, do the following steps:

1.     Press the Bluetooth button on your earbuds to initiate pairing. If this does not work, “force start” by pressing the button off and then on. The blue light will blink when the earbuds are in pairing mode.

2.     Enable Bluetooth on your Android device by going to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.

3.     Start searching for new Bluetooth devices (if JBL earbuds are still not stored on your Bluetooth options) and select JBL earbuds.

4.     Remove the other earbud from the case to automatically connect to the other earbud. At this time, the pairing with your Android device should be complete.

5.     Successfully paired JBL earbuds will have their lights turned on. The word “Connected” will also appear on your Android device. You can also see the Bluetooth connection sign on the screen.

Sometimes, you need to enter a password to pair your devices. The most common factory code is 0000. You can verify this in your user manual.

How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds With Apple Devices (iPhone):

Pairing your JBL earbuds with an iPhone or iPad is the same as when you pair them with an Android device. Start by removing one of the JBL earbuds from the case and doing these steps:

1.     Press the Bluetooth button on your earbuds to initiate pairing. If this does not work, force start by pressing the button off and then on. The blue light will blink when the earbuds are in pairing mode.

2.     Enable Bluetooth on your Apple device by going to Settings > Bluetooth.

3.     Start searching for new Bluetooth devices (if JBL earbuds are still not stored on your Bluetooth options) and select JBL earbuds.

4.     Remove the other earbud from the case to automatically connect to the other earbud. At this time, the pairing with your Apple device should be complete.

5.     Successfully paired JBL earbuds will have their lights turned on. The word “Connected” will also appear on your Apple device. You can also see the Bluetooth connection sign on the screen.

If a password is needed in the pairing process, enter 0000. This is the most common factory code. If this does not work, you may check the user manual.

How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds With Your Laptop:

You should ensure that your JBL earbuds are in pairing mode before initiating the pairing process with your laptop. Then, do the following steps:

1.     Press the Bluetooth button on your earbuds to initiate pairing. If this does not work, force start by pressing the button off and then on. The blue light will blink when the earbuds are in pairing mode.

2.     Enable Bluetooth on your laptop by going to Devices > Bluetooth & Other Devices. Click on the “+” sign at the top of the tab and select Bluetooth.

3.     Start searching for new Bluetooth devices (if JBL earbuds are still not stored on your Bluetooth options) and select JBL earbuds.

4.     At this time, the pairing with your laptop should be complete.

5.     Successfully paired JBL earbuds will have their lights turned on. You can also see the Bluetooth connection sign on your laptop’s screen.

For JBL earbuds that require a PIN to be entered on your laptop, the factory code 0000 should work. If not, you may check the user manual to verify.

How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds With Your MacBook:

To start the pairing process with your Macbook, check if the JBL earbuds are working. Afterwards, do these simple steps:

1.     Press the Bluetooth button on your earbuds to initiate pairing. If this does not work, “force start” by pressing the button off and then on. The blue light will blink when the earbuds are in pairing mode.

2.     Enable Bluetooth in your MacBook by clicking on the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen. Then, go to System Preferences > Bluetooth.

3.     Select the “Show Bluetooth in the menu bar” option. The JBL earbuds should show up on the list of available choices. If you have already paired the earbuds in the past, you can readily find them on the list.

4.     Choose the JBL earbuds and wait for the pairing to be complete.

5.     Successfully paired JBL earbuds will have their lights turned on. You can also see the Bluetooth connection sign on your MacBook’s screen.

Sometimes, you need to enter a PIN to start the pairing process between the JBL earbuds and your MacBook. The factory code 0000 usually works, but if not, you may check the user manual to verify.

How To Pair Your JBL Earbuds With Your TV:

While many televisions come with Bluetooth capabilities, this is not a universal function. You should first check if your television has Bluetooth before trying to pair it with JBL earbuds.

Initiate the pairing process by the following these steps:

1.     Press the Bluetooth button on your earbuds. If this does not work, force start by pressing the button off and then on. The blue light will blink when the earbuds are in pairing mode.

2.     Enable Bluetooth in your television by going to Settings and locating the Bluetooth menu. You will see a scan option or “search for new Bluetooth devices.”

3.     Click on the scan option and wait for the JBL earbuds to show up in available pairings or available devices.

4.     Choose the JBL earbuds and wait for the pairing to be complete.

5.     Ensure that the two devices are not obstructed or not too far apart while paired.

If your television has no Bluetooth capabilities, you can use a number of quality Bluetooth adapters available on the market. You may use a Bluetooth audio transmitter or even a media streamer.
