Cash App is a great way to send and receive money, but what if you run out of funds on your Cash App card?
In this article, we'll show you how and where to reload your Cash App card in just a few minutes!
You can add money to your Cash App card by depositing physical money in a participating store. To find the closest deposit location click on the $ icon in the bottom left-hand corner and then on Paper Money. Once you're at the store click on Show Barcode and ask the cashier to scan the Barcode.
You can add physical money to your Cash App account and Cash App card at the following stores:
The cashier might ask you to swipe or insert your Cash App card, tell them to scan the barcode from your phone instead. Swiping or inserting your Cash App card won't work.
In my experience, most stores will ask for your ID so don't forget to bring some form of verification with you when adding money to your Cash App account/card.
There is a $1 fee for every deposit you make at a store.
Take this into consideration when adding money to your Cash App card, if you want to add $10 to your Cash App card you will have to give the cashier $11.
The $1 fee will show up as a pending transaction on your Cash App account until the deposit goes through, which can take up to 10 minutes.
You must deposit at least $5 per deposit, the maximum you can add is $500 per deposit.
You can deposit up to $1000 every 7 days, and up to $4000 every 30 days. The seven or thirty-day timeframes are based on a rolling time frame, this means that they start at the time when you make a deposit, and not at the start of the week or month.
Cash App will notify you if you hit a deposit limit.
To avoid any issues, I recommend spacing out your deposits, for example, if you want to add $2000 to your Cash App account/card in one week, make four separate deposits over 2 weeks of $500 each rather than one deposit of $2000.
This will help you stay within the deposit limits and avoid any potential issues.
It usually only takes a few minutes for the money to be credited to your Cash App account/card.
You can check the status of your deposit by clicking on the Activity tab (the clock icon) on your Cash App home screen.
If you have any problems or questions when trying to load your Cash App card feel free to reach out to Cash App support, you can find them by clicking on the profile icon in the top right-hand corner and then on Cash Support.
Even though I have never had an issue receiving money credited to my account, I suggest you keep the receipt. This way you can show it to Cash App support if there are any problems.
